Every Ride Is For You, Directed by Debra Weistar (California) - Every Ride Is for You is a story about the relationship between women and horses, as seen through the lens of three generations of women. It’s a story of love, and loss, and getting back in the saddle after being dumped hard -- by a buck you never saw coming. It’s about connection beyond anything that can be explained. I made Every Ride Is For You because I happen to be related to three remarkable women whose story I felt needed to be told. My mother, my sister, and my niece have a connection to horses that is both deeply personal, and universal -- especially among women. I wanted to explore that connection through the strength of these women. Every Ride Is For You celebrates sisterhood, love, and that which helps us face the most devastating losses. It is shot in Sonoma County, California, where my mother lives (in Valley Ford), in Briones near Martinez, Ca where Logan grew up, and in Aiken, S Carolina where Logan now lives.
