Gabby and Gus Off the Beam, Written by Lisa Killiany (Conneticut) - Divorced and newly sober, socially phobic Gabby is fast approaching menopausal status. After a recent meltdown, the only way back to a paycheck is to accept a less than supportive therapy dog, Gus. It’s hate at first sight, until Gabby realizes he’s no ordinary support- he’s jaded and has a razor sharp tongue! Her much needed promotion at the corrupt Town Hall is in jeopardy due to Candi, a ruthless harlot meter maid with her hooks slipping into the pants of the Mayor- Gabby’s boss. Pressured to compete, Gabby teams up with Gus and her best friend from rehab, Wendi, an impulsive, brutally honest, bi-sexual who takes pride in being politically incorrect. With the help of her sarcastic canine and Wendi, Gabby gains confidence and realizes who is truly the best woman for the job. I’m not a big fan of people, but I love to make them laugh.
